Bounded is free to download, and the free app is genuinely usable — but the automatic layer that makes it effortless is part of the subscription. Here is the precise map.
Free, forever
- The full Home tab layout and the History list and calendar,
- adding and editing trips manually,
- creating and managing counters from the full preset catalog,
- all your data, stored on your device, with no account.
What the subscription unlocks
- Automatic GPS tracking — Smart Tracking logging your country in the background,
- Travel history from photos — the photo restore and re-sync,
- Counter numbers and breakdowns — free users see their counter cards, but the day counts, progress, and breakdown screens need the subscription,
- Detailed statistics and the residence card’s duration numbers,
- PDF and CSV export,
- live data in widgets,
- unlimited trips and countries.
If your subscription lapses
Nothing is deleted. Your timeline, counters, and settings stay on the device — the automatic features pause and the gated numbers hide until you resubscribe or restore your purchase. You can keep logging trips manually in the meantime.
