Bounded is free to download and free to use manually, forever — there is no charge to install the app, log trips, or set up counters. The automatic layer that makes it effortless is part of a subscription that starts with a free trial, so you can try everything before paying. We adjust plans and pricing regularly, so the current price for your region is always shown in the app — clearly, before you’re charged anything. Here is the precise map of what’s free and what’s premium.
Free, forever
- The full Home tab layout and the History list and calendar,
- adding and editing trips manually, including planning future trips and Work / Personal trip labels,
- creating and managing counters from the full counter catalog, including searching it and requesting a missing counter,
- fixing a wrong trip through the correction sheet,
- all your data, stored on your device, with no account.
What the subscription unlocks
- Automatic GPS tracking — Smart Tracking logging your country in the background,
- Travel history from photos — the photo restore and re-sync,
- Counter numbers and breakdowns — free users see their counter cards, but the day counts, progress, and breakdown screens need the subscription,
- Detailed statistics and the residence card’s duration numbers,
- Travel import — backfilling from a Google Timeline, Flighty, TripIt, or CSV file,
- PDF and CSV export, including the audit report and the location-log and audit-summary CSVs,
- live data in widgets,
- unlimited trips and countries.
If your subscription lapses
Nothing is deleted. Your timeline, counters, and settings stay on the device — the automatic features pause and the gated numbers hide until you resubscribe or restore your purchase. You can keep logging trips manually in the meantime.
